Italian Olympic Softball Team to report to camp on 20 March
The Azzurre will train together from 20-27 March in Ronchi dei Legionari, Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, to continue preparing for the Games in Japan.

The Italian Women’s National/Olympic Softball Team will gather on 20 March, as the squad looks toward this year's Olympic Games and European Softball Championship. The training camp will be the team's first meeting under new head coach Federico Pizzolini.

A total of 22 players have been called up for the meeting, including four new additions: Elisa Cecchetti (who recovered from a back surgery), Elisa Grifagno, Brittany Abacherli and McKenzie Barbara. The Italian federation will have to make cuts to get their Olympic roster down to the 15-athlete limit. The 22-player expanded roster is available on the FIBS website.

Pizzolini’s staff for this training camp will include Giovanna Palermi, Julio La Rosa, Andrea Longagnani and Giulio Brusa.
